Türkiye and Saudi Arabia sign a number of cooperation agreements

The Republic of Türkiye and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed an agreement in the fields of direct investment, defence industry, energy, defence, and communication.  Following the meetings between the delegations led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, agreements were signed. President Erdoğan welcomed with official ceremony in Saudi Arabia

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was welcomed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, the first stop of his visit to the Gulf region, with an official ceremony. Once the two leaders arrived at the ceremonial ground at the Al-Salam Palace, the national anthems of Türkiye and Saudi Arabia were played, and President Erdoğan inspected the guard of honor. Our Directorate organised demonstrations in the US state of Pennsylvania as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. A plane heading towards Pennsylvania skies carried a message on a giant banner hanging on its tail that read, "The perpetrator of the deaths of 253 civilians on July 15, 2016, lives far closer than you realise." Additionally, from morning until 16.00 local time, two vehicles with illuminated screens displaying the Turkish flag and photos from the night of the coup attempt and a sign reading "Victory of Democracy" toured the streets of Saylorsburg, where the FETO ringleader resides.

July 15 commemoration programme held in New York’s Times Square

Our Directorate and the Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC) organised a commemoration ceremony for July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day in New York's famous Times Square. The message "July 15 Victory of Democracy" was displayed throughout the day on Times Square's digital board, which was adorned with Turkish flags. Our Directorate organised a special video mapping display for July 15 at Galata Tower and Haydarpaşa Train Station. The Turkish flag and photographs of the July 15 martyrs were projected onto the Galata Tower as part of the event, which was watched with interest by the public.
