President Erdoğan to attend Turkey-Russia-Iran Trilateral Summit via video conference 

The sixth Turkey-Russia-Iran Trilateral Summit will be held in the Astana format via video conferencing method.    The summit will be attended by President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani via video conference.    During the summit, the leaders are expected to evaluate the current developments in Syria and discuss the joint steps to be taken in the upcoming period in order to maintain ceasefire on the ground, to provide the necessary conditions for the voluntary return of refugees and to advance the political process.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan talked to Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar over the phone.   During the phone conversation between Erdoğan and Tatar, bilateral relations and regional issues were discussed as well as the steps to be taken to cooperate in the fight against the coronavirus (Covid-19) and the issues related to the resumption of flights between Turkey and the TRNC as of July 1 were also evaluated.

Directorate of Communications announces the situation regarding coronavirus cases around the world

Directorate of Communications announced the number of cases, deaths, and discharges in countries affected by coronavirus (Covid-19) throughout the world as of June 26, 2020, 21:30. Directorate of Communications shared a post on its Twitter account, stating that the number of people infected with Covid-19, which broke out in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in China, exceeded 9 million 814 thousand. The post also provided information regarding the current situation in Turkey, and noted: “Turkey has conducted a total of 3,186,622 tests so far. The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached 194,511, while 5,065 citizens have lost their lives and 167,198 patients have recovered.”
