President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said: “If France has a decision regarding the travels, we will see and review that decision. We will take counter-steps against them.”
President Erdoğan answered journalists' questions about the agenda at the Parliament after his party's Group Meeting.
When it was reiterated that the French Embassy in Ankara made a warning for its citizens regarding the travels to Turkey, President Erdoğan said: “Currently, there is a legal process concerning this. This issue has one leg here and another leg there. We are launching this process. If France has a decision regarding the travels, we will see and review that decision. We will take counter-steps against them. Turkey is not a tribal state, above all, it is not like those states that Macron is familiar with.”
Upon a question “You have expressed regarding the cross-border operation that ‘one night we might suddenly come’, but today, it is as if you gave clues about a new cross-border operation. Is this the case?”, President Erdoğan said: “Do you really think there were clues about a cross-border operation? We are already beyond the border. We are present in all those places at every moment with Operations Claw, Peace Spring, Olive Branch, and we took and will continue to take the revenge of our martyrs.”
