The Grand Republic Concert to which everyone was invited by the Director of Communications at 19:23 on October 29, will begin with the Turkish National Anthem where everyone will be able to sing along with enthusiasm in front of their screens. The 97th anniversary of our Republic will be celebrated by a special underwater light show with 97 divers in the Mediterranean, organized by the Directorate of Communications.
The celebrations on the occasion of October 29 Republic Day will begin with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to Anıtkabir, proceed with his accepting the congratulations at the Presidential Complex, and will be followed by a series of special concerts and programs organized by the Directorate of Communications after the official parades.
It is also envisaged that President Erdoğan will inaugurate the War of Independence Exhibition prepared specially for the 97th anniversary of the Republic at the Nation’s Library of the Presidency on October 29.
Grand Republic Concert
Within the scope of October 29 Republic Day celebrations, the “Grand Republic Concert” will be held by the Directorate of Communications in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Grand Republic Concert, to be performed by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra at the Parliament Building in the Ancient City of Patara in Antalya on 29 October, will begin with the Turkish National Anthem at 19:23 to mark the anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
Underwater light shows with 97 divers
In order to draw attention to the importance of the Mediterranean for our country and contribute to the international promotion of the region, the Directorate of Communications will also carry out a series of underwater activities with 97 divers at 9 locations in 7 cities, in the Mediterranean.
Within the scope of this project, diving and light shows will be held simultaneously with the Grand Republic Concert in Kekova.
The Grand Republic Concert and underwater shows on October 29 will be broadcast live on television channels and social media accounts of the Presidency and the Directorate of Communications. The concert and show will be reflected on Galata Tower at the same time.
The Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun announced the celebration with the following message:
