“Hollywood Turkish Film and Drama Days” ongoing in USA

At the "Hollywood Turkish Film and Drama Days," organised at Sony Studios in Los Angeles, California, by the Directorate of Communications and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the first episode of the TV series "Şehrazat" and the TV series "Sahipsizler" (The Orphans), as well as the short film "Dilan Hakkında Konuşmalıyız" (We Need to Talk about Dilan), were screened.

A number of Turkish actors participated in the event, designed to showcase the rich texture of Turkish culture to foreign audiences in the United States through the lens of cinema while also highlighting the influence of Turkish cinema within the international community.

The event was organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, with OGM Pictures serving as the main sponsor.

The first episode of the TV series "Şehrazat" and TV series "Sahipsizler" as well as the short film "Dilan Hakkında Konuşmalıyız" brought together industry professionals and cineastes on the second day of the event.

İsmail Hacıoğlu, the lead actor of the TV series Şehrazat, and Dilan Çiçek Deniz, who is an actress, model, and producer of the short film "Dilan Hakkında Konuşmalıyız," also attended the event.

In a statement to an AA correspondent, Hacıoğlu said, "It is truly exciting for our work to meet the audience here for the first time. Based on the excitement and the crowd, it appears that an improved connection with cinema has replaced the first year's stagnation. I hope the festival will grow exponentially."

In response to the question of why her short film was titled "Dilan Hakkında Konuşmalıyız", actress Dilan Çiçek Deniz expressed her pride in being there and said:

"To be candid, the film is not about me, which I must clarify first because many people think it is. We have created a film that resonates with everyone, and honestly, I’d rather not give away too much of the surprise. Additionally, the creative team and the set were predominantly women, which made it a great pleasure for me to work with them, filling me with a profound sense of strength."

Deniz stated that new projects were in progress.
