Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi holds talks with Turkish Counterpart Fidan: ‘‘Progress is being made on safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz’’ (Armenpress.am)

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Araghchi of Iran discussed with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan the latest developments in talks between Iran and Oman aimed at determining ''an appropriate way for ships to pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz.'' This was reported by the Foreign Ministry following a phone call between the two ministers.

While briefing Fidan on the current status of the bilateral negotiations with Oman, Araghchi underlined ''the Islamic Republic of Iran’s determination to continue this process.'' The two ministers also discussed the latest developments in the region and ongoing diplomatic efforts and underscored the need to continue political and diplomatic initiatives ''to manage the situation, prevent the escalation of tensions, and strengthen stability and security in the region.''
