Erdoğan talks with UK Prime Minister on bilateral relations and international developments (Armenpress.am)

According to a report by Anadolu Agency, a statement by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye said that ''President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye held a phone call with Prime Minister Andy Burnham of the United Kingdom, during which they discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.''

Erdoğan congratulated Burnham on assuming his new position and expressed his confidence that relations between Türkiye and the United Kingdom would reach a new level in the period ahead.

The President of Türkiye noted that the two countries had made significant progress in cooperation in various areas, particularly in the defence industry.

Erdoğan also emphasised the importance of the Strategic Partnership Framework and the Security and Defence Partnership signed between the two countries.

According to Erdoğan, Türkiye and the United Kingdom will continue to work together to improve bilateral trade and achieve their investment targets.
