Türkiye launches development of domestic nuclear reactor (Russia)

Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, announced that authorities have launched a “Call for the Development of a Domestic Nuclear Reactor.” In a social media post, Kacır stated, “With the ‘Call for the Development of a Domestic Nuclear Reactor’ that we have initiated, we aim to strengthen our energy security, reduce foreign dependency, and contribute to our net-zero emissions target. A former Bosch executive leads the Turkish automobile manufacturer Togg. Until now, the electric SUV was sold only in Türkiye. At the IAA, models for the German market will be showcased.  Togg (Türkiye’s Automobile Joint Venture Group) is a consortium supported by the Turkish state and backed by various companies. Türkiye Lines Up LNG Import Deals With Global Energy Majors (USA)

Türkiye signed a liquefied natural gas import agreement with UK energy major BP Plc and said additional deals are pending with Shell Plc and Eni SpA, part of its push to boost supply of the superchilled fuel.
