Mothers are symbol of compassion, mercy and self-sacrifice, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a message marking Mother’s Day. In the message, Erdogan hailed mothers’ role in establishing peace in the society. "Our mothers, who teach us love, respect, solidarity, sharing and tolerance, are our greatest strength in establishing happiness and peace in our country," he added.
