President Erdoğan Attends the Science Board Meeting on Coronavirus

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the Science Board Meeting on Coronavirus via video conference. President Erdoğan received information from Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca and Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak, Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun and Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın.

Turkey to continue to protect citizens against COVID-19

Turkey will continue to protect its citizens from the impact of the coronavirus outbreak with measures and economic support packages, President Erdoğan said. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan underlined that the country would earmark 7 billion Turkish liras ($1.08 billion) in support for workers with minimum wage. The country will provide 1,000 Turkish liras ($155) to 2 million low-income families and increase the minimum pension to 1,500 Turkish liras ($233), Erdoğan said. Directorate of Communications announced the number of cases, deaths, and discharges in countries affected by coronavirus (Covid-19) throughout the world as of March 25, 2020, 00:00.
