Official Gazette announces ambassadorial appointments

The appointments to the Embassies of Malta and Papua New Guinea, pursuant to Articles 2 and 3 of the Presidential Decree, have been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly: Barkın Kayaoğlu, Deputy Director General for Protocol, has been appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Malta, while Bilgin Özkan, Deputy Director General for Southeast Asia and the Pacific, has been appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

President Erdoğan, President Pezeshkian of Iran talk over phone

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran. The leaders discussed bilateral relations between Türkiye and Iran, as well as the escalating military tension in the region. During the call, President Erdoğan emphasised that Türkiye stands ready to assume a facilitating role between Iran and the United States in order to de-escalate tension and resolve issues. Türkiye and Uzbekistan sign multiple agreements

Multiple agreements were signed between the two countries in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan.
