President Erdoğan exchanges Eid al-Adha greetings with leaders

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani exchanged holiday greetings on the phone. President Erdoğan also exchanged holiday greetings with Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci. During the conversations, the leaders exchanged greetings on Eid al-Adha and underlined their determination to improve bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation in regional issues.

President Erdoğan’s instruction for report on psychology education

Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan instructed the Presidency’s Education and Teaching Policies Council to rapidly prepare a report regarding psychology education, including the open education issue.  In a post he shared on his Twitter account, Altun said, “Our President called various experts yesterday and received information on the problems regarding psychology education and instructed the Presidency’s Education and Teaching Policies Council to rapidly prepare a report regarding psychology education, including the open education issue.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held phone conversations with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kazakhstan's First President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.   During the conversation held by Erdoğan with each president, mutual greetings on Eid al-Adha were exchanged.   President Erdoğan also exchanged Eid al-Adha greetings on the phone with Pakistani President Arif Alvi, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi and Tunisian Parliament Speaker Rached Ghannouchi. During the conversations, determination to improve bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation on regional issues was underlined.

President Erdoğan said the reopening of the Hagia Sophia as a mosque made the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha even more joyous. Directorate of Communications announces the situation regarding coronavirus cases around the world

Directorate of Communications announced the number of cases, deaths, and discharges in countries affected by coronavirus (Covid-19) throughout the world as of July 31, 2020, 22:30. Directorate of Communications shared a post on its Twitter account, stating that the number of people infected with Covid-19, which broke out in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province in China, exceeded 17 million 630 thousand. The post also provided information regarding the current situation in Turkey, and noted:  “Turkey has conducted a total of 4,800,823 tests so far. The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases has reached 230,873, while 5,691 citizens have lost their lives and 214,535 patients have recovered.”

Directorate of Communications has launched the website “www.sumela.gov.tr” in order to promote the Sumela Monastery. The Sumela Monastery, which was reopened yesterday by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following its restoration, welcomes visitors with the message “The hidden monuments of Anatolia come to light”.
