Worldwide messages of condolence continue over the terrorist attack in İstanbul

Iran

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanani expressed his condolences regarding the explosion that killed and injured many innocent people in Beyoğlu, İstanbul.

In his message, Kanani said, "We strongly condemn all kinds of terrorist acts targeting the security of Türkiye and the Turkish people. We stand by the government and people of the friendly and brotherly Republic of Türkiye."

Wishing Allah’s mercy on those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery for those who were injured, Kanani offered his condolences to the Turkish government and people, especially to the families of those who lost their lives.

Argentina

In a post on the Twitter account of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condolences were offered for those who lost their lives in the explosion, and a message of solidarity with the Turkish people was conveyed.

The post noted:

"The Argentine Republic expresses its deep regret over the explosion in İstanbul and affirms its solidarity with the Turkish government and people.

We convey our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish the injured a speedy recovery."

Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a message of condolence to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for those who lost their lives in the explosion in İstanbul.

According to the statement made by the Presidency of Kazakhstan, Tokayev stated in his message that he was deeply saddened by the news that innocent people lost their lives as a result of the terrorist act that took place in İstanbul.

In his message, Tokayev said, "I sincerely share the grief of the brotherly Turkish people in such a difficult moment, and express my condolences to you and the families who lost their loved ones, on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and myself. I wish Allah’s mercy on those who lost their lives and a speedy recovery to the injured."

European Commission

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, expressed her condolences to Türkiye for those who lost their lives in the bomb attack in İstanbul.

Von der Leyen, in a post shared on Twitter, “My deepest condolences to Türkiye and the Turkish people after the brutal attack that claimed lives in İstanbul yesterday.”

Von der Leyen stated that her thoughts were with the families of the victims.

Ylva Johansson, the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs, also noted that the explosion in İstanbul's Beyoğlu district was a shocking act.

”It will only strengthen the resolve in Türkiye and in EU to cooperate even more in the fight against terrorism.” Johansson said, and offered her condolences to the victims’ families.

Uzbekistan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a message of condolence to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding the terrorist attack in İstanbul.

In his condolence message, Mirziyoyev expressed his condolences and wished patience to the families and relatives of those who lost their lives in the attack, as well as a speedy recovery to the injured.

Kyrgyzstan

President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan sent a message of condolence to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in İstanbul.

In his telegram of condolence to President Erdoğan, Japarov stated that he received the news that many people lost their lives in the explosion that took place in İstanbul with deep sadness.

President Japarov said, "We strongly condemn the terrorist attack that took place on İstiklal Avenue in İstanbul. We fully support the efforts of the international community to fight against terrorism. On behalf of the Kyrgyz people and myself, I convey my deepest condolences to the families of the victims. We share your grief. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

- Venezuela

In a statement made on the Twitter account of the Venezuelan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condolences were expressed for those who lost their lives in the explosion and a message of solidarity with the Turkish people was shared.

Condemning all forms of terrorist acts, the statement said, "The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela believes that the Turkish authorities will clarify the facts and identify those responsible. The Venezuelan government sends feelings of fraternity and solidarity to the Turkish people and its government headed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."

-Colombia

In the statement made by Colombia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, deepest condolences were extended for those who lost their lives during the bomb attack in İstanbul.

The statement said, "We would like to convey our profound sorrow over the explosion that occurred on İstiklal Avenue. In this most grieving time, we stand with the people of İstanbul to show our solidarity with those affected by the incident and to wish the injured a speedy recovery.”

-Mexico

The Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared on its social media account that Mexico regrets the damage and loss of lives caused by the bomb attack in İstanbul.

In the statement, condolences were extended to the Turkish people, government and families of the victims and all acts of violence were condemned.

In a post shared on the Twitter account Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the attack was condemned. The post stated: "The government and people of Ecuador are in solidarity with Türkiye in the face of the horrific attack in İstanbul and reject this terrorist act."

-Peru

Deepest condolences were extended to the Turkish people and administration for the attack that took place in İstanbul in the statement issued by the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"We reject all acts of violence that violate the values and principles that support peaceful coexistence," the statement said.

-Panama

In a statement on its Twitter account, the Panamanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Panama is saddened by the loss of lives in the explosion that took place on İstanbul's famous İstiklal Avenue. We convey our condolences and solidarity to the people and government of Türkiye."

-Costa Rica

In the statement of the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condolences were extended to the Turkish people and government for those who lost their lives in the explosion on İstiklal Avenue.

They expressed their solidarity with the Turkish people while reiterating their condemnation of any terrorist activities.

-Brazil

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned all kinds of terrorist attacks and actions.

The Ministry extended its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
