President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Andy Burnham of the United Kingdom.
The two leaders addressed the Türkiye-UK bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
President Erdoğan congratulated Prime Minister Burnham on his new post, expressing his belief that the relations between the two countries will be further enhanced in the period ahead.
Stating that Türkiye and the United Kingdom have made significant progress in cooperation in all the areas, particularly in defence industry, President Erdoğan said the Strategic Partnership Framework Document and the Security and Defence Partnership Document signed by the two countries are important, and that the two countries will continue to work together to increase the trade volume and achieve the targets in investments.
