What is Hackathon?
In our age, in which science and technology prevail, Hackathon emerges as an innovative form of production with a structure that produces fast, efficient and suitable solutions for today's conditions compared to classical working methods such as conventional panels, symposiums and search conferences.
Hackathons are used extensively by the world's leading public and technology institutions, and even by private organizations. In the hackathons organized, it is aimed to produce solutions to problems in a predetermined subject by using codes and designs. Hackathons are performed by the competing teams of a minimum of two and a maximum of six people. In these teams, computer programmers, software developers, designers and project managers-mentors come together. The teams, who come together under normal circumstances, seek innovative solutions to the problem in uninterrupted but limited timeframes varying from 24 hours to one week. They implement the idea of a solution they find through brainstorming as a working software, game or infographic by combining the codes and design. The teams present the projects they create during the hackathon for the evaluation of the jury, and the winning projects are announced by the jury following these presentations.
