On the other hand, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, shared a post on his NSosyal account regarding the joint press conference.

In his post, Head of Communications Duran stated:

“Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasised the strong will to further advance economic cooperation between the two countries during the signing ceremony of the agreements and the joint press conference held with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece.

He stated that efforts will continue with determination to achieve the target of increasing the bilateral trade volume, which reached approximately 7 billion dollars last year, to 10 billion dollars.

Noting that issues concerning the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean were addressed in an open and sincere manner during the meeting, our President emphasised the importance of managing regional matters through dialogue and mutual understanding. In this context, he underlined that, although these issues may be complex, they are not irresolvable on the basis of international law.

Our President also stated that, regarding minority issues, which constitute the human dimension of bilateral relations, it is necessary to act with a sense of historical responsibility. He conveyed our expectations that the Turkish minority in Western Thrace should fully benefit from religious freedoms and educational opportunities.”
