As part of a project launched by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, the documentary titled "The Network", which depicts the real and dark side of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) met the audience in North Macedonian capital Skopje.
The documentary prepared by TRT World and filmed by renowned British journalist Andrew Wilson was screened at the International Balkan University (IBU) campus under the auspices of Turkish Embassy in Skopje.
North Macedonian Defence Minister Radmila Šekerinska, Turkish Ambassador to Skopje Tülin Erkal Kara, AK Party Erzurum Deputy Selami Altınok were among the guests including many other senior officials, politicians, deputies and representatives of Turkish institutions and organizations in the country.
In his remarks to press members, Deputy Altınok said FETO revealed its real face in a bloody way particularly on July 15 as well as in several other incidents.
Reminding that more than 250 people were martyred while many were injured on July 15, Altınok said: “Turkey is continuing its fight at full speed. Although we have come a long way in this fight, we cannot say it is over. We have drained their financial resources. FETO can no longer transfer funds from Turkey to abroad.”
"I was not any other night. We are talking about an organization dating back to 40 years ago. They have infiltrated into the state mechanisms for 40 years and waited for this day, June 15, 2016. I would like to reiterate the fact that they have around one thousand schools in 140 countries with a potential to raise future hitmen or terrorists.” Ambassador Tülin Erkal Kara noted.
Rector of IBU Prof. Mehmet Dursun Erdem said Turkey suffered a lot from FETO and that the organization continued its activities abroad.
