Presidential High Advisory Board convenes under President Erdoğan’s chairmanship

Presidential High Advisory Board convened under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex.

Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun issued a written statement regarding the meeting. According to the statement, the Board Members exchanged views on justice, the law and the new constitution.

Indicating that justice is the foundation of the state as the independent and impartial judiciary is the foundation of the justice, the Board Members expressed that the Turkish nation, together with all its individuals, was worthy of law and democracy in the most advanced standards without discrimination.

Pointing out that justice services were an integral part of politics geared towards works and services, the Board Members noted that they viewed the efforts to bring a new and civilian constitution to the country as an umbrella of all the reforms accomplished.

President Erdoğan also remarked that they observed the rule of law, human rights and freedoms in every step they took and emphasised that they always reserved the first place in the reform agenda for works that would ensure the most ideal manifestation of justice.

Explaining that they facilitated the functioning of the judiciary by renewing the fundamental laws and strengthening the judicial organisation's infrastructure, President Erdoğan stated that they continued their reforms without interruption for greater freedom and a more robust democracy, as promised to the nation.

President Erdoğan pointed out that the Human Rights Action Plan, which they prepared with the vision of "Free individual, strong society; more democratic Türkiye", was also a part of this process, and noted that they resolutely continued their efforts to bring in a new and civilian constitution, which was the nation's expectation and the country's need, with the broadest possible consensus.
