President Erdoğan’s visit to Albania and Serbia in regional press

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Balkan countries Albania and Serbia, and his statements were widely covered in the press of the countries in the region.

President Erdoğan's visit to Albania received wide coverage in the country's media. Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) provided extensive coverage of the visit and highlighted the signing of four agreements between Türkiye and Albania in the fields of cooperation, communication, education, and agriculture.

ATA also highlighted President Erdoğan's remarks at the inauguration of the Namazgah Mosque in the capital Tirana as "a symbol of brotherhood and solidarity between the two countries."

Top Channel, one of Albania's television channels, featured the headline of the news on its website, which covers President Erdoğan's visit to the country, as "A 'message' to Albania from Erdoğan, who paid an official visit to Tirana: We hope that you will continue to fight against FETO."

Meanwhile, the Balkanweb portal featured the headline 'Erdoğan condemned Israel's attacks on Gaza and Lebanon in Tirana' in its news report. Other television channels and news portals in Albania also provided close and extensive coverage of President Erdoğan's visit.

Serbia

President Erdoğan's visit to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and his statements regarding the countries in the region were also reported by the media in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, and Croatia.

Serbia's official news agency Tanjug highlighted President Erdoğan's statement: 'This is golden age of Serbia-Türkiye relations.' The report in Tanjug also stated that President Erdoğan emphasised the importance of Serbia's constructive approach in order to leave behind Bosnia and Herzegovina’s political fragility.

Radio Television of Serbia, on the other hand, emphasised President Erdoğan's statements in the field of economy and highlighted the development of relations between the two countries in the field of industry.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

The website of Dnevni Avaz, Bosnia and Herzegovina's most widely read newspaper, reported his remarks at the press conference under the title "Erdoğan in Belgrade: His determination to maintain stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina was reaffirmed." President Erdoğan's approach to preserving peace in the Balkans and acting with common sense in the relationship between Kosovo and Serbia was particularly highlighted. The news story also pointed out President Erdoğan's focus on the developments in the occupied Palestinian lands, especially Gaza and Lebanon.

Klix, the most widely read news website in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighted the "maintaining peace and stability in the Balkans" part of President Erdoğan's speech and provided an excerpt from the speech: " We have reaffirmed our countries’ determination to maintain stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On this occasion, I have emphasised the importance of Serbia’s constructive approach in order to leave behind Bosnia and Herzegovina’s political fragility."

Croatia

Croatian Radiotelevision reported that President Erdoğan, who visited Serbia after Albania, said that they would cooperate with Serbia in the defence industry to maintain peace.

News portals provided live coverage of President Erdoğan's visit to Serbia for their audience, while many television channels monitored the event.

Kosovo

The news of the donation of kamikaze drones to Albania, which was announced during President Erdoğan's visit to Albania, sparked headlines in the Kosovo press.

KosovaPress, the country's largest news agency, provided extensive coverage of the story. 

Regarding the Belgrade visit, local media emphasised President Erdoğan's advice to President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia regarding the dialogue with Kosovo.
