The successive visits of leaders on the occasion of the Türkiye-Russia-Ukraine tripartite foreign ministers meeting, the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and the İstanbul Mediation Conference have positioned Türkiye as the country where the heart of global diplomacy beats.
The week's first significant meeting took place during Israel's first presidential visit to Türkiye in years. When President Isaac Herzog of Israel met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 9, the two Presidents stated that relations would be further improved.
Following Russia's attack on Ukraine, Türkiye invited the foreign ministers of both countries to meet in Antalya on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, which was held last week.
On March 7, Minister of Foreign Affairs Çavuşoğlu stated that the two ministers had agreed to meet in Antalya.
This statement brought Antalya to the notice of the entire world's media.
Nearly 400 local and international press members came to Antalya to cover the Türkiye-Russia-Ukraine tripartite foreign ministers meeting, which took place on March 10 as part of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF).
It was also the first gathering at this level since Russia began its attacks on Ukraine on February 24. At the meeting, Türkiye highlighted the importance of maintaining humanitarian corridors open.
President Erdoğan and Aliyev discuss Europe's energy security
On the same day as this meeting, the 8th İstanbul Mediation Conference kicked off in Antalya. The İstanbul Mediation Conference, held by Türkiye to improve awareness about mediation, drew over 200 participants, including leaders, politicians, diplomats, experts, academics, and students.
The conference, which featured speeches by the Foreign Ministers of Palestine and Kuwait, also included videoconference addresses from the Secretaries-General of the United Nations and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
On March 10, President Erdoğan and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan had another significant meeting.
The latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war, bilateral relations, and the contribution of the two countries' cooperation to European energy security were addressed during the meeting of the two Presidents in Ankara.

Both sides made constructive statements regarding the meeting Çavuşoğlu had with Mirzoyan, who had announced his attendance at the forum at the beginning of last week.
On March 13, another neighbouring country paid a visit. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece met with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in İstanbul, and their meeting highlighted the importance of keeping reciprocal communication channels open, strengthening bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation, and focusing on the positive agenda.
