Presidency's Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, issued a statement on social media regarding the “Allies in Ankara” program, which will be organised by our Directorate in cooperation with the Munich Security Conference (MSC) and the SETA Foundation.
Emphasising that the event carries a complementary character to the official programme of the NATO Summit, Head of Communications Duran noted
"As Türkiye hosts the 2026 NATO Heads of State and Government Summit under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, our Directorate of Communications will make a significant contribution to international security and strategic dialogue through the ‘Allies in Ankara’ programme, organised in cooperation with the Munich Security Conference (MSC) and the SETA Foundation.
Complementing the official programme of the NATO Summit, the event will bring together high-level state representatives, decision-makers, think tanks, and international stakeholders in Ankara. Over the course of two days, the most pressing issues on the global security agenda will be examined in a comprehensive manner through panel discussions, policy dialogues, roundtable meetings, and thematic sessions.
I believe that these discussions—covering a broad spectrum of issues ranging from NATO's capacity for deterrence and defence to the European security architecture, from hybrid threats and cyber security to artificial intelligence and the protection of critical infrastructure—will further strengthen cooperation among Allies and partner countries.
‘Allies in Ankara’ will further reinforce our capital's position as a leading hub for international dialogue, strategic consultation, and multilateral cooperation in the fields of security, defence, and foreign policy."
