Head of Communications Duran sends video message to Turkish Day Parade

The 43rd Annual Turkish Day Parade, traditionally organised in New York under the coordination of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications,  was held with strong participation and great enthusiasm.

The Presidency's Head of Communications  Prof Burhanettin Duran sent a video message to the Turkish-American community on the occasion of the Turkish Day Parade. In his message, Head of Communications Duran said:

"This year, we are holding the 43rd Turkish Day Parade. I am delighted to address you and share this joy with you at this wonderful gathering in New York, where our crescent and star flag waves proudly.

This spirit, which paints the streets of Manhattan red and white, is not merely a parade; it is an expression of a rich history, a strong identity, and an unwavering sense of unity.

With a history spanning more than 80 years, the Turkish-American community has become an integral and respected part of the United States. Through the successes you achieve in every field you pursue, you build a bridge of friendship between Türkiye and the United States, while representing our culture and values in the strongest possible way.

From this perspective, you act as citizen diplomats for Türkiye. The valuable mission you have undertaken makes an important contribution to strengthening dialogue and deepening mutual understanding between our countries.

Through the progress it has achieved across every field, Türkiye is steadily expanding its influence at both the regional and global levels. Pursuing a constructive, balanced and human-centred foreign policy, our nation has emerged as a trustworthy actor in addressing global challenges by defining its own geopolitical course, prioritising cooperation and shaping its foreign policy in line with its national interests.

Türkiye's strength stems from our unity and solidarity. With this spirit of solidarity, there is no difficulty that we cannot overcome.

The Turkish Day Parade stands as the most tangible manifestation of this shared spirit, this understanding, and this strong sense of belonging.

As I conclude my remarks with these thoughts and feelings, I would like to thank our esteemed participants, as well as the institutions and organisations that contributed to the event.

I hope we will experience the same joy and pride at many more Turkish Day Parades.

I extend my respectful regards to you all."
