In a post he shared on social media, the Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, said, "Remaining silent in the face of this genocide is to become complicit in this entire tragedy.
In his post, Head of Communications Altun said:
"For 350 days, the people of Gaza have endured one of the most violent assaults the world has witnessed. Since October 7, humanity has been witnessing this tragedy, leaving profound scars on our collective conscience.
A shameful chapter for humanity is being written in Gaza. Cities are being bombed, mosques, hospitals, and schools are being destroyed. Innocent civilians, journalists, children, and even babies are being deliberately and systematically targeted.
In blatant disregard for international law, Israel is engaging in an unlawful campaign of repression and violence against reliable sources of information. Journalists who are trying to tell the world about what is going on in the region are being murdered.
Today marks the 350th day of genocide... Remaining silent in the face of this genocide is to become complicit in this entire tragedy. In the interest of justice, in consideration of humanity’s collective conscience, and for the sake of our future, we must raise our voices and act swiftly to stop this massacre!"
