The exhibition “Fear and Confrontation” about the February 28 coup, organized by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications in cooperation with Beyoğlu Municipality, is open for visitors until March 25, 2022.
The exhibition, which will be curated in Beyoğlu Municipality's İstiklal Art Gallery, will provide visitors with graphics, objects, and experiences related to the February 28 coup of 1997.
The exhibition depicts the coup from a global and national perspective while also examining its traumatic effects on people.
Visitors will learn about the stories of coup victims in the "Stories" section at the exhibition's entrance. In the "Waves" section, visitors will learn about the coup process chronologically, with graphics about the world, Türkiye, and the February 28 coup from the 1990s to the 2000s.
The "Face to Face" section offers visitors the stories of coup victims and the belongings they had, while the "Hand in Hand" section displays newsprint with fabricated headlines of reactionism.
The exhibition will be open for visit until March 25, 2022.

Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post on social media about the exhibition, saying, “With the February 28 coup, our people's will and belief were targeted 25 years ago. We will not forget it or let it be forgotten.”
Director of Communications Altun stated that they organized the “Fear and Confrontation” exhibition, which examines the global and national implications of the February 28 coup, and added, “You are invited; your visit will be greatly appreciated.”
