Presidency’s Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun shared a post regarding the steps to be taken in the field of employment within the scope of economic reforms announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The post Director of Communications Altun shared on his Twitter account included an infographic listing 15 items under five headlines on employment.
Accordingly, the efficiency of employment incentives will be reviewed, and practices, which give rise to duplications in current incentives as well as mutually exclusive inefficient incentives, will be determined, and the incentive system will be simplified.
The micro and small-scale companies with liquidity problems will be provided with a loan of 100 thousand TL with the guarantee of Credit Guarantee Fund for each additional person they engage in employment. The maximum credit limit will be 500 thousand TL (5 employments). The first six months of the credit that will have two-year maturity will be non-refundable.
Social security and unemployment premiums, which are paid by the company that fulfilled the employment commitment, for 12 months for each person engaged in employment will be subtracted from the credit interest balance as a contribution to the company. Thus, the companies creating additional employment will have the opportunity to use credit with low financing cost.
Employers who include their employees in employment once again by benefitting from cash wage support will make use of Financing Support to Additional Employment if they meet the requirements.
Burdens on employer will be lifted
Youth Employment National Strategy Paper will be drafted and implemented in order to increase youth employment.
For the purpose of making Vocational Training Centers more attractive for the youth, the fees received at the journeyman’s stage will be improved. The fees of students receiving education from Vocational Training Centers will be covered by the public; the burden on the shoulders of employers will be lifted.
Remote working legislation will be revised in a way to comply with new business models.
Long-term internship will be supported
Regulations regarding the week-end of part-time workers, the period to deserve the annual paid leave, the period to entitle the severance allowance will be made in order to stipulate those issues clearly in the law.
Sectoral labour force planning will be made by creating “sectoral skill maps” to guide the labour market.
Transition supports, which will contribute to creating new job opportunities in future professions, will be introduced.
Long-term internship programmes will be supported in institutions where digital competences can be developed.
