On his social media account, Director of Communications Altun shared a short news documentary produced to inform the world about Yağmur and Ecrin, who were martyred in the treacherous terrorist attack in Taksim, İstanbul and said:
"In the memory of our daughters Yağmur and Ecrin, who were murdered by the PKK/YPG, TRT World's "After the Rain: Families Seeking Justice" documentary exposes the bloody face of the terror group for the world to see. In the TRT World's documentary, Dutch researcher Rena Netjes sheds light on the terror group's atrocious attacks. Those who can't tolerate the truth are now threatening her life. This is the terror organisation that you are protecting!"
"I pay a price for exposing PYD propaganda"
The documentary, produced in memory of Yağmur and Ecrin, exposes the dark side of PKK/YPG to the world public.
In the documentary, the father of Yağmur, who was martyred at the age of 15, speaks about his daughter, "She was an angel without wings. Now she has her wings," and 9-year-old Ecrin's mother tells about her daughter's interest in painting through tears.
In the documentary, Netjes emphasises that the attack on Istiklal Street was similar to the YPG/PYD attacks in northern Syria.
Pointing out that the threats against her from the accounts of the terrorist organisation in northern Syria have increased after the broadcast of the documentary, Netjes said on her social media account, "I'm going public with this. I have been receiving death threats. I pay a price for exposing PYD propaganda."
