Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun congratulated the 1st anniversary of the liberation of Karabakh from Armenian occupation. Director of Communications Altun said, "Karabakh, held under Armenian occupation for decades, was returned to homeland after Azerbaijani army's military operation with Türkiye's unconditional support."
In a post shared on his social media account on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the Karabakh Victory, Director of Communications Altun remarked, "In the spirit of two states, one nation, we have always marched shoulder to shoulder with Azerbaijan, sharing the same sadness and joy. A year ago today, this march was crowned with a blessed victory. We salute our Karabakh, liberated by our Azerbaijani brothers with a great spirit of resistance."
Fahrettin Altun also included a video on Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations in his post.
The video underlined that the relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan were a shining example of friendship, brotherhood, solidarity during difficult times, and the sharing of joy and sadness.
It was pointed out in the video that the two countries, united in fate a century later, stood shoulder to shoulder once more and liberated Karabakh, which had been under Armenian occupation, and the following was noted:

This brotherly union reflects itself in every field from energy to military cooperation as the geopolitical and strategic interests of the two countries became inseparable. The culmination of strong leadership and the determined stance of both countries crowned this intertwined destiny and loyal partnership with victory. Karabakh, held under Armenian occupation for decades through the exploitation of failure of international institutions and mechanisms, was returned to its homeland after the Azerbaijani army's military operation with Türkiye's unconditional support. The centuries-old Turkic-Islamic homeland returned to its rightful owner following a quick defeat of Armenian brigades in less than two months. This town, which endured decades of desolation, is now being restored to its former glory with Turkish-Azerbaijani cooperation. Happy first anniversary of our victory that rejoices Türkiye as much as Azerbaijan."
