Cooperation between Türkiye and Slovakia in Fields of Media and Communication

Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia and the accompanying delegation paid an official visit to Türkiye.  As part of the visit, a "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Media and Communication" was signed between Türkiye and Slovakia at a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex.  

During the ceremony held in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Robert Fico of Slovakia, the memorandum of understanding was signed by Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun on behalf of Türkiye and Prime Ministry's Cabinet Director Katarína Vidovičová on behalf of Slovakia.  

The MoU seeks to consolidate amicable relations between the two nations and enhance collaboration in the areas of media and communication. Under the MoU, Türkiye and Slovakia will conclude mutually beneficial projects aimed at enhancing the exchange of knowledge and expertise in areas such as communication, public diplomacy, media, and broadcasting.  

In addition, the memorandum intends to organise conferences, trainings, and workshops, as well as encourage reciprocal visits between media and communication experts. The agreement went into effect today and will remain in force for three years.

Statement by Head of Communications Altun on Memorandum of Understanding

In a post announcing that Türkiye and Slovakia had signed a Memorandum of Understanding to improve their cooperation in the field of press and communication, Altun said that the agreement would enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience. 

In his post, Head of Communications Altun said: 

"Today, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of press and communication between the Government Office of the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Türkiye in the presence of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Robert Fico of the Slovak Republic.

I hope that this memorandum of understanding, which intends to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in the fields of press and communication between our nations, will be auspicious."
