Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun stated that Turkey, which sent medical supplies to some 54 countries in the world, including medical equipment such as test kits, masks, and gloves, was supporting so many nations and allies in this difficult time as a humanitarian duty.
In a thread on his Twitter account, Altun noted that Turkey’s mobilization to produce all necessary medical supplies was bearing fruit.
Pointing out that Turkey would very soon start mass production of our nationally developed respirator “Sahra”, Altun emphasized that Turkey was determined to ensure that it would not need outside help for medical supplies.
Altun said the following:
“We have sent medical supplies to some 54 countries in the world, including medical equipment such as test kits, masks, and gloves. Turkey is supporting so many nations and allies in this difficult time as a humanitarian duty. Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been leading global efforts to create a common response while helping nations individually. Some of our President’s latest coronavirus diplomacy calls included Chancellor Merkel and Emir al-Thani. The discussions included the current crisis and the future.”
1 GB of internet to all citizens
Altun indicated that they would continue to support the citizens during Ramadan through an additional aid package of 176 million TL and all citizens would be allotted an additional 1 GB of internet to help them communicate with their loved ones.
Wishing all Muslims around the world a safe, healthy and happy Ramadan, Altun added: “Our brothers and sisters around the world must know Turkey will always be there for them. As we plan steps for normalization at the end of Ramadan, we hope to celebrate Eid in a more healed world.”
