“Will of the Nation, Victory of Democracy” digital time tunnel opens to visitors

The "Will of the Nation, Victory of Democracy" digital time tunnel, prepared to mark the 10th anniversary of 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day, has opened to visitors.

Created by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications using sound, light, and cutting-edge technologies, the digital time tunnel welcomed visitors at 15 July Kızılay National Will Square.

The time tunnel takes visitors through the events from the first moments of the 15 July coup attempt to the triumph of the national will. It also showcases Türkiye’s achievements in the fields of the defence industry and technology over the past decade.

One of the visitors, Hüseyin Yıldırım, said that the digital time tunnel made them feel as though they were reliving the night of the coup attempt.

Yıldırım said, “Reliving here the heroic resistance our nation put up against the coup attempt has deeply moved us. I am absolutely certain that this nation will never allow such a thing to happen again. We are among those who would gladly lay down our lives for our homeland. Our great people did exactly that, and so would we. I deeply admire those who took to the streets that night and sacrificed their lives. I wish I had been among them.”

Zihnet Yıldırım said she was deeply moved and proud of her nation, adding, “May Allahspare us from ever experiencing anything like this again. Our country is truly continuing to develop and move forward. It will become even stronger.”

The "Will of the Nation, Victory of Democracy” digital time tunnel will remain open to visitors until tomorrow.
