As part of the 13th Summit of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) to be hosted by Türkiye in Ankara on 29–30 October 2026, the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications will organise an international forum titled "Turkic World Dialogue Forum" in Ankara on 30–31 October 2026.
The Forum will be held under the theme "From Ideas to Dialogue, Onwards" and will create an inclusive platform to foster greater cultural exchange among the peoples of the Turkic world, strengthen shared memory, and enhance cooperation in media, communications and broadcasting among OTS member and observer states.
The Forum will feature parallel panel sessions, roundtable discussions, a range of cultural and artistic events, and exhibitions. The Forum will analyse the Turkic world's potential across political, economic, social, and strategic domains and address its common objectives. In this framework, the function of parliamentary diplomacy, the representation and efficacy of women in diplomacy, public administration, media, and civil society, and the Turkic world's strategic priorities and geopolitical position in the changing global order will be evaluated.
The energy resources of the Turkic world; its potential to become a transport and trade corridor between Asia and Europe; opportunities for cooperation in the defence industry; and ways to enhance social welfare through joint development projects will be discussed. The agenda will also cover the current state of media and communications across the Turkic world, strengthening strategic communications capacity, combating disinformation, artificial intelligence, and opportunities for establishing joint broadcasting platforms and media initiatives. In addition, discussions will address the Turkic world's common language and collective memory, its cultural heritage and artistic legacy, the protection and strengthening of the family institution, and the current state of the Turkic diaspora. Finally, the Forum will explore establishing a shared knowledge and intellectual ecosystem among universities, think tanks, and research centres across the Turkic world, as well as ways to strengthen Türkiye–Uzbekistan relations and develop future cooperation opportunities within the framework of the OTS.
The two-day Turkic World Dialogue Forum is expected to bring together high-level officials, communications and media professionals, academics, think tanks, and prominent figures from science, culture, and the arts from across the Turkic world on a common platform, fostering an environment for interdisciplinary dialogue.
Cultural diplomacy events are also planned alongside the Forum. In this context, exhibitions reflecting the cultural and historical richness of OTS member and observer states, along with cultural and artistic activities, are envisaged for the foyer area. The programme also envisages thematic stands and interactive experience spaces.
