The fifth episode of the “Crafting Voices: Podcasts on Migration and Communication” series, prepared as part of the Voice of Migration: Future Communicators Erasmus+ project carried out under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications, has been released.
The guest of this episode, titled “Youth Sector in Bulgaria: The Voice of Solidarity (Part 2),” was Dr Nikola Zhivkov, a legal expert, mediator and youth policy specialist from Bulgaria.
The episode explored the importance of young people developing a more conscious and responsible approach to communication on migration-related issues through the lenses of non-formal education, critical thinking and intercultural dialogue.
The discussion also addressed the role of media literacy in combating misinformation and disinformation, the importance of empathy and inclusive communication in multicultural societies, the contribution of mediation to communication and dispute-resolution processes, and examples of best practices from youth projects at both the national and European levels.
By bringing together experts from different fields in migration and communication, the Crafting Voices podcast series aims to provide young communicators with new perspectives on media literacy, ethical journalism and inclusive communication approaches.
