Directorate of Communications joins Hugging Face

The Directorate of Communications has created its official institutional profile on Hugging Face, one of the world’s largest artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning community platforms.

As the first upload on the profile, disinformation bulletins prepared by the Centre for Combating Disinformation have been shared as an open dataset. Consisting of approximately 2,810 verified claim records, the dataset covers a wide range of topics—such as earthquakes, elections, migration, and the economy—including false claims circulated on social media along with their official verifications.

Published in both Turkish and English, the dataset has been made freely available to researchers, journalists, and AI developers under the CC-BY-4.0 license. This step will make a significant contribution to the development of AI models for detecting disinformation in Turkish, as well as to academic studies and media literacy efforts. Thus, the institutional expertise of our Directorate in combating disinformation has been integrated into the international open data ecosystem.

With this step, our Directorate has become the first public institution to share content institutionally on Hugging Face. As a result, researchers and relevant stakeholders will be able to directly access our Directorate’s contributions to the open data and AI ecosystem.
