Cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in media and communication to be strengthened

A delegation led by the Presidency's Deputy Head of Communications, Ferhat Pirinççi, met with Azerbaijan’s Chairman of the Media and Broadcasting Council, Ahmet Ismayilov. 

The meeting focused on bilateral media and communication relations, counter-disinformation efforts, digital transformation, and collaborative projects.

The delegation from the Directorate of Communications, led by the Presidency's Deputy Head of Communications Ferhat Pirinççi, met with Ahmet Ismayilov, Chairman of the Media and Broadcasting Council, as part of the visit to Azerbaijan.

The meeting emphasised that Türkiye's strong connections with Azerbaijan are reflected in collaboration in the field of media and communication. The meeting also touched on the importance of experience-sharing and coordination between the two countries to address new challenges arising from the evolving information environment.

Ahmet Ismayilov, Chairman of the Media and Broadcasting Council, underpinned the significance of intensifying joint efforts, especially in combating disinformation.

Meanwhile, Ferhat Pirinççi reflected on the new opportunities offered by digital transformation in the field of media and communication, highlighting the importance of the effective use of new media instruments, modern communication approaches, and the development of professional relations between the two countries' members of the media.

The meeting also facilitated an exchange of views regarding future joint projects and collaborative initiatives on media and communication.

Pirinççi congratulated Ahmet Ismayilov on his new position and conveyed his wishes for success.
