1. GENERAL INFORMATION
Commemoration Ceremonies of the 110th Anniversary of the Çanakkale Land Battles will be held on 24-25 April 2025 at the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument, martyrs' cemeteries and other monuments and cemeteries.
2. ACCREDITATION
Accreditation will be given for members of the press who wish to follow the ceremonies in question.
Anzac Ceremonies
On 25 April 2025, the press accreditation of the Anzac ceremonies will be given by the Australian side, and members of the press wishing to follow the event will be able to access detailed information about the accreditation process via the internet address https://www.dva.gov.au/media/departmental-media-releases/anzac-day-2025-commemorations-overseas-call-media-registrations. Accreditation for the Anzac ceremonies must be received by 23:59 Australian time (AEST) on Thursday 17 April 2025.
Ceremonies to be held at the Martyrs' Monument
Members of the press who want to follow the ceremonies to be held at the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument on 24 April 2025 must complete their accreditation applications by uploading the requested documents to the system via the http://akreditasyon.iletisim.gov.tr website until 13:00 on Friday, 18 April 2025. In this respect;
a) Local Press Members
Journalists who do not have a press card are required to upload their letters of appointment (letterhead, signed and stamped by an authorised person) to the system.
No documents are required from journalists having a press card. (Holders of Permanent Press Card and Free Press Card are required to write in the "Remarks" field on the application page on behalf of which organisation they will follow the events and upload the assignment letters from their organisations to the system).
b) International Press Members Based in Türkiye
They will not upload any documents to the system and will complete their applications by logging into the system with the e-mail addresses and passwords they used in their permanent accreditation application.
Applications made with an e-mail address other than the e-mail address used in permanent accreditation applications will not be evaluated.
c) International Press Members from Abroad
They are required to complete their accreditation applications by uploading the assignment letter (letterhead, authorised person signed and stamped) and passport photocopy from their affiliated institutions to the system.
If any application has been made through the system before, applications made with an e-mail address different from the e-mail address used in the previous application will not be evaluated.
3. ACCREDITATION METHOD
a) Log in to http://akreditasyon.iletisim.gov.tr.
b) If you are logging in for the first time, please register with your e-mail address and password via the "Register" button.
c) After the registration process, complete the registration process by clicking the activation link sent to your e-mail address.
d) Log in to the system again with your e-mail address and the password you have set.
e) After the login process, enter your identity information on the page that opens and then upload your photo. (The information you enter must be the same as "Identity Card" for domestic journalists and "Passport" for international journalists).
f) On the page that opens, in the "Select Your Application" field, click on the meeting name "Commemoration Ceremonies of 110th Anniversary of the Çanakkale Land Battles 24/04/2025, Çanakkale".
g) The media outlet, assignment and contact information of local and international journalists who hold press cards will be automatically uploaded to the system. Applicants will complete their applications by clicking on the “Submit” button at the bottom right corner of the page.
h) Local and international journalists who do not hold a press card will complete their applications by entering the requested information into the system and uploading the above-mentioned documents to the system by clicking on the “Submit” button at the bottom right corner of the page.
i) Members of the media who have successfully completed their application will receive an e-mail stating that “Your application has been registered in the system” (If you have not received such an e-mail, please apply again).
j) Media members whose applications are deemed valid will receive an e-mail stating that “Your application has been approved”.
k) Do not forget the e-mail address and password you used for your application. You will also need to use this information in your subsequent accreditation applications.
DISTRIBUTION OF ACCREDITATION CARDS:
Accreditation cards of press members who wish to follow the ceremonies to be held at the Çanakkale Martyrs' Monument will be available at our Çanakkale Regional Directorate located at Cevatpaşa Mahallesi İzzet Çetin Sanat Sokak No:2 Kat:1 between 13:30/18:00 on April 23, 2025. Accreditation cards will be distributed from the press desk to be set up at the Eceabat Pier on the day of the Ceremony (April 24, 2025) at the Martyrs' Monument.
TRANSPORT:
For members of the press who wish to cover the ceremonies to be held on April 24, 2025, vehicles will be departed from the Eceabat pier by the Directorate of Çanakkale Wars Gallipoli Historical Site. Other than the authorized live broadcast vehicles, no other cars will be permitted in the area.
LIVE BROADCAST / UPLINK VEHICLES:
Accreditation is also required for the broadcasting vehicles that will enter the ceremony area. For the accreditation of the broadcast vehicles, a separate letter of assignment with the vehicle brand, model and license plate on letterhead, signed and sealed by the authorized person must be sent to egemen.moral@iletisim.gov.tr. Vehicle accreditation is only available for broadcast vehicles. Applications for personal vehicles will not be accepted.
The uplink and technical equipment vehicles without accreditation cards will not be allowed to enter the ceremony area and the non-accredited press members will not be able to benefit from the facilities and press organizations.
