A panel will be held by the Directorate of Communications on 25 February 2026 at the Presidency's Directorate of Communications Conference Hall in Ankara to discuss the current state of Türkiye–Somalia relations and to comprehensively explore potential areas for future collaboration.
The panel will address the current state of cooperation, the historical context of bilateral relations, and the future of the relationship from a strategic perspective.
Türkiye–Somalia relations have been consistently enhancing within the framework of deep-rooted political solidarity and a multidimensional partnership model. The bilateral relationship, revitalised by Türkiye’s humanitarian assistance to Somalia in 2011, has steadily evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership encompassing cooperation in defence, the economy, energy, fisheries, space, technology, and infrastructure.
The panel, scheduled to feature leading experts in their fields and representatives of relevant institutions, aims to contribute to the further development of Türkiye–Somalia relations and explore new areas of collaboration. The event will serve as a meaningful platform to reinforce friendly relations between the two countries and to consolidate the shared vision for the future.
