Visit of Pope Leo XIV, Head of the Vatican State, to the Republic of Türkiye
Pope Leo XIV, Head of the Vatican State, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye between 27-30 November 2025, covering the cities of Ankara, İstanbul, and Bursa.
Members of the press wishing to follow the visit are kindly requested to take note of the following:
1. Press Members Holding a Press Card
Turquoise press card holders who are citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, as well as foreign press members permanently accredited in Türkiye and holding a turquoise press card, may follow the program by presenting their cards without the need for any additional application.
2. International Press Members Without a Press Card
Members of the international press who wish to follow the visit and will be coming to Türkiye for this purpose are required to apply for temporary accreditation.
Applications must include the following documents:
An assignment letter from the relevant media organization,
An introduction letter from the embassy or diplomatic mission of the applicant’s country in Türkiye,
A copy of the passport’s identity page,
A curriculum vitae (CV),
One biometric photograph.
All required documents must be submitted no later than 25 November 2025 at 12:00 (Türkiye time) to the following e-mail address:

Applicants whose temporary accreditation requests are approved will be informed via e-mail and will be requested to obtain a press visa prior to their arrival in Türkiye.
Important Note
Getting accreditation or a press card does not guarantee access to all events or venues during the visit. The parts of the program open to the press will be determined by the relevant authorities.
