The "2nd Communications Council Preparatory Workshop," organised by our Directorate under the theme "Century of Türkiye: Century of Communication" and inaugurated by Presidency's Head of Communications Fahrettin Altun, concluded.
Following the recent Communications Council held in Türkiye in 2003, a preparatory workshop was held yesterday at a hotel in Ankara with the theme "Century of Türkiye: Century of Communication".
The two-day workshop, in which Head of Communications Altun delivered the opening speech, aims to further strengthen Türkiye's communication policies through a multi-stakeholder consultation mechanism and to shape the communication understanding of the future in line with the Century of Türkiye vision as part of the Türkiye's Communication Model.
The workshop featured working groups on 16 different topics. The groups worked on a broad spectrum of topics, including "media and disinformation," "disaster and crisis communication," "social media and artificial intelligence," and "individual and society in the digital age." Each working group was supported by a strong structure consisting of moderators, rapporteurs, experts in their respective fields, and specially coded artificial intelligence.
Within the Council's scope, multifaceted outputs on communications were obtained using an inclusive approach, with 425 workshop participants under 16 topics, and working groups of 27-30 people discussed focus topics for two days.
The main programme "2nd Communications Council" is scheduled to be held in April, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The final programme will include panel discussions, speeches, and moderators presenting the working groups' reports. The reports and invited papers will be published as a book under the title “2nd Communications Council 2025”.
