Türkiye: “Israel is intentionally undermining peace efforts in Gaza” (hayat.ba)

The Presidency’s Head of Communications, Burhanettin Duran, condemned the recent Israeli attacks on Palestinians on Monday, saying that Israel is intentionally undermining all efforts to achieve peace in the Gaza Strip.

Duran, in a post on the Turkish social network NSosyal, stated that the recent attacks on civilians and health infrastructure took place at a time when diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire and lasting peace in Gaza were offering hope.

He said, “At a time when diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire and achieve lasting peace in Gaza have offered renewed hope, Israel’s latest attacks targeting civilians and healthcare infrastructure are deliberately undermining every initiative toward peace.”

He added, these attacks, which show complete disregard for the right to life of women, children, and innocent civilians, clearly demonstrate that the Netanyahu government is intent not on ending the conflict, but on deepening the crisis.

Duran called on the international community to take a more effective and principled stance to put an end to these aggressive policies that threaten regional stability.

He emphasised that Türkiye, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will continue to stand by international law, human dignity, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, while supporting all efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace.
