20th Winter Deaflympics kicks off in Türkiye

The 20th Winter Deaflympics kicked off on March 2 in Erzurum.  One of three major comprehensive global sports events for people with disabilities, Deaflympics takes place every four years. Over 500 athletes from more than 30 countries and regions will compete for 10 days in six disciplines, namely Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, snowboard, chess and futsal.

The PARS ALPHA 8×8 armoured fighting vehicle manufactured by a Turkish defence company attracted attention at the "World Defence Show 2024" in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The company's CEO stated that the new generation armoured fighting vehicle will meet the ever-changing needs of modern battlefields. The PARS ALPHA 8×8 is a vehicle measuring 7.8 metres in length, 3.1 metres in width, 2.4 metres in height, and approximately 34 tonnes in total weight.
