Addressing the opening ceremony of 563 facilities built by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, President Erdoğan said: “We should be more efficient and effective in the use and management of our water resources before they reduce to the depletion limit. I would like to stress the necessity of using our resources more wisely, and note that we expect all our institutions and citizens to exercise utmost vigilance in this regard.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of 563 facilities built by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works in Ankara.
Noting that Türkiye is among the water-stressed countries with its annual usable water per person standing at 1,301 cubic meters, President Erdoğan said: “It is telling that the average rainfall in Türkiye is 574 millimeters while it is 990 millimeters globally. This picture demonstrates that we should be more efficient and effective in the use and management of our water resources before they reduce to the depletion limit. I would like to stress the necessity of using our resources more wisely, and note that we expect all our institutions and citizens to exercise utmost vigilance in this regard.”
