President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada.
The leaders discussed the Türkiye-Canada bilateral relations, as well as regional and global matters.
Stressing the importance he attaches to the deepening of the bilateral relations, President Erdoğan highlighted the great potential for cooperation in many areas, particularly energy, defense industry and air transportation.
Noting that Türkiye continues its efforts incessantly to make sure peace and tranquility prevail in the region, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye and Canada, its ally, concur on many issues.
Inviting Prime Minister Carney to the upcoming NATO and COP31 summits to be held in Türkiye, President Erdoğan added that Türkiye would like to host Prime Minister Carney for an official visit before the end of 2026.
