President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan at the Presidential Complex.
The leaders discussed Türkiye-Uzbekistan bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that Türkiye would continue to take steps to further advance its relations with Uzbekistan, which are at the level of High-Level Strategic Cooperation, in many areas, particularly trade, investment, mining, transport and the defence industry.
Expressing his belief that the Organisation of Turkic States would continue on its path, growing stronger through new cooperation initiatives, President Erdoğan voiced his hope that the Leaders' Summit in Ankara would serve as an important milestone in this regard.
President Erdoğan also invited President Mirziyoyev to the COP31 Leaders' Summit to be held in Antalya.
