Worldwide outpouring of support for earthquake victims continues

Today, worldwide aid keeps pouring into Türkiye for the victims of the earthquakes, which are described as the ‘disaster of the century'.

As part of the overall assistance provided, Iran sent 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid supplies to the earthquake victims.

Also, it was revealed that Etisalat, a telecommunications corporation based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), contributed 20 million dirhams (approximately $5.5 million) to the earthquake-hit regions' telecommunications industry.

Moreover, while the Greek athlete Miltiadis Tentoglou, who won the men's long jump gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, donated to AFAD, Herve Magro, Ambassador of France to Ankara, stated that their embassy will participate in the "Terre de Jeux 2024 Relay Race" on March 14 by organising races in Ankara and İstanbul, and will dedicate these races to the Turkish people as an expression of their solidarity in response to the earthquakes that struck Kahramanmaraş on February 6.
