Century of Türkiye's inauguration ceremony garners international attention
The book "The Inauguration Ceremony of the Century of Türkiye Sets the World Agenda" recalls that the Century of Türkiye officially kicked off with President Erdoğan's oath-taking ceremony in the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), followed by the presidential inauguration ceremony at the Presidential Complex.
The book highlights the notable international attention paid to the elections and their results, citing the presence of 21 heads of state, 13 prime ministers, several ministers, and representatives of international organisations, including the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS), NATO, and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
In the prefaces of the aforementioned books, Presidency's Director of Communications Fahrettin Altun states that the country held the election of the century on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye, reflecting the noble nation's will at the ballot box.
Director of Communications Altun said,
"The results of the presidential runoff on May 28, as well as the 28th parliamentary election, which were manifestations of our beloved nation's unconditional sovereignty, marching with perseverance and faith towards a future brimmed with goals, with our ancient history, strong traditions, and constituting the stable functioning of our deeply rooted democracy, have been prominently featured in traditional and new media across the globe."
Pointing out that these notable coverages in the international press and media emphasise the will of the nation and democracy that have become stronger with the Presidential System of Government, which was established under the leadership of President Erdoğan and with the decision of the nation, Director of Communications Altun said:
"These coverages are the most concrete sign of the interest in the Century of Türkiye, which is, to quote our President, a road map that will raise our country even above the level of contemporary civilization, our nation's determination to realise its century-old dreams and walk towards much greater goals, and 85 million people shoulder to shoulder, with the spirit of the War of Independence, building the future. As the Directorate of Communications, within the scope of our multi-faceted activities to establish the memory of the Century of Türkiye, we compile the aforementioned coverages in the international media and mark them down in history.
Türkiye experienced a feast of democracy during the election process and set an example for developed countries with 87 per cent voter turnout in these elections. The presidential inauguration ceremony, which symbolises the beginning of the Century of Türkiye, revealed another powerful manifestation of the same interest and appreciation. The fact that our President is now regarded by nations across the globe as the representative of these values regarding truth, justice, peace, and welfare, which he has defended and implemented at every stage of his political experience, has once again been brought to light with the great turnout in the presidential inauguration ceremony.
"We aim to turn every struggle and every victory of the Turkish nation into historical documents."
Director of Communications Altun emphasised that the interest in question was not limited to the broadcasts and publications of international media organisations and that numerous individuals, ranging from representatives of international organisations to political and administrative officials of different nations, scientists, and artists, voiced their opinions about the elections in Türkiye. Altun added that the Directorate of Communications intends to defend the truth and turn every struggle and victory of the Turkish nation into historical documents.
Underlining that, as pointed out by President Erdoğan the Century of Türkiye would also be the century of communication, Director of Communications Altun said:
"In the century of communication, we will work with all our strength to increase the brand value of our country, to increase strategic communication efforts, and to represent Türkiye as it deserves in the international arena. As the Directorate of Communications, we will maintain our activities in the fields of media and communication, particularly in public diplomacy, public relations, and brand communication, with great effort in both traditional and new media, and we will continue to be the defender of the truth.
Our President, who put forward his vision of the Century of Türkiye, defined the success he achieved in the election as the Great Victory of Türkiye. In this direction, by implementing its broader and more comprehensive development plan, Türkiye will continue to be a stabilising force for the resolution of regional and global crises. As our President stated, Let the Century of Türkiye Begin with the Great Victory of Türkiye ."
