A delegation led by the Presidency's Deputy Head of Communications, Prof. Ferhat Pirinççi, paid a working visit to Damascus, the capital of the Syrian Arab Republic.
During the visit, areas of cooperation and joint projects were discussed with the Syrian Ministry of Information. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in communication, media, and public diplomacy.
Deputy Head of Communications Prof. Pirinççi stated that Türkiye could support the Syrian Arab Republic’s strategic communication efforts, particularly in combating disinformation.
For his part, Syrian Minister of Information Hamza Mustafa stated that they attach importance to Türkiye’s experience in the field of communication and expressed their intention to benefit from this expertise within the framework of the communication model currently being developed in Syria.
As part of the visit, bilateral meetings and inter-delegation talks were held, during which technical matters were also addressed.
