Speaking at the Victory Day Special Program, President Erdoğan said: “With our history, our victories and our struggle, we are a great nation. Just like every state we have established throughout our history, we established the Republic of Türkiye not through the favor of others, but by letting our heroes fall to the soil, one from every home. We won our independence not with the help of the great powers or imperialist powers, but through the sacrifices of our mothers, who sent their beloved kids to the battlefields, telling them to become either a martyr or a ghazi.”
