Speaking at an iftar dinner with the education community, President Erdoğan said: “We will uphold the spirit of Çanakkale until our last breath, and will never forget the sacrifices of those who rendered these lands home to us. On the 111th anniversary of the Victory of Çanakkale, I remember with mercy all the heroes of independence, all our ghazis and martyrs, who bequeathed this heavenly homeland and entrusted this great Republic to us, and once again commemorate their cherished memory with profound respect.”
