Addressing citizens in Istanbul’s districts of Tuzla and Pendik, President Erdoğan said: “I am the President of all whose hearts beat for our country and who love our flag and adhan even if they don’t vote for us. As the President of Turkey and the Turkish people, I will continue my march with great care as you signaled on June 24. We will not discriminate against or marginalize anyone. We will tightly embrace our eternal brotherhood and work for the peace of each one of our 82 million citizens.”
President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed citizens during campaign rallies in Istanbul’s districts of Tuzla and Pendik ahead of the local elections scheduled for March 31, 2019.
“We will continue to develop and strengthen Turkey”
Expressing determination to decisively continue to exert efforts to further develop and strengthen Turkey, President Erdoğan stressed the importance of urban transformation in Istanbul and said that they will carry on finding solutions to the problems of the city as they have been doing over the past 25 years.
Noting that the success of a president depends on the support of the people, President Erdoğan said: “A president can be successful and serve his country in the best manner only if the people support and stand with him. I am the President of not only those who vote for me, but of all the 82 million citizens of ours.”
