Addressing a ceremony for the delivery of 2022-2023 School Year report cards, President Erdoğan said: “We will leave you, our children in whose eyes I see tomorrow’s great and strong Türkiye, a country of which you will be proud in every respect.”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a speech at the 2022-2023 School Year Report Cards Delivery Ceremony at Haydarpaşa High School in Istanbul.
Expressing his wish for the 2022-2023 School Year, which has been completed successfully today, to be auspicious for the whole education community, President Erdoğan congratulated all the students who are living the excitement of receiving their report cards all across the country.
“We look to the future with greater confidence and hope whenever we come together with our students. Our confidence in Türkiye’s bright future grows exponentially bigger as we give ear to the voice of our children. Without doubt, this is made possible first and foremost by our teachers. Our teachers, to whom we entrust our children starting from as early as five or six years of age, are the backbone of our education. A teacher in our culture is not a mere conveyor of information but also a discoverer that discovers the gem deep inside his or her students.”
Offering his gratitude to each and every teacher executing their profession in pursuit of raising individuals that are auspicious for the people and the country, President Erdoğan underlined that the state mobilizes every means and resource at its disposal in order to ensure that children, the guarantee of the future, are raised and educated in the best manner possible.
Pointing out that Türkiye’s army of education was further reinforced with the appointment of 45 thousand more teachers last month, President Erdoğan said: “While the total number of teachers in Türkiye stood at 500 thousand in 2002, nearly 800 thousand new teachers have been appointed during our governments alone. We will continue to appoint new teachers in necessary fields. We will soon unveil new projects aimed at boosting the prestige of the teaching profession and advancing the career of our teachers.”
Highlighting that the Republic of Türkiye will mark its centenary on October 29 of this year, President Erdoğan said: “We have made the centenary of our Republic the starting point of our Century of Türkiye vision. We will be working day and night over the next five years to build the Century of Türkiye. We will leave you, our children in whose eyes I see tomorrow’s great and strong Türkiye, a country of which you will be proud in every respect.”
